The modern neo-Confucian Xiong Shili has a deep influence on his three disciples Tang Junyi,Mou Zongsan and Xu Fuguan,in their temperament,academic interests,and ideological lines.The Xiong School is the successor of Yangming's Mind The-ory,and they have studied it and been influenced by it.In the Xiong school,Xiong,Tang,and Mou all intended to reconstruct moral metaphysics,while Xu's position was to dissolve metaphysics and return philosophy and culture to the realities of real life.This fore-shadowed the differentiation and continuous development of the contemporary Neo Confucianism thoughts under the influence of Yang-ming's Mind Theory.
