An Exploration on the Imagery of Action of"Going Boating"in Lu You's Poems
The narrative tradition of poetry has not received sufficient attention under the cover of the mainstream of lyrical tradi-tion,however,"Action"has never been absent in classical poetry."Going boating"is one of the common action images in Lu You's poetry,showing rich and vivid charm:Boats emit different"emotions"such as leisure,excitement,and loneliness due to different"ac-tions"such as summer vacation,returning home and taking on a job.From the perspective of literary geography,LuYou's poetry on"Going boating"includes three different forms that emphasize temporal and spatial aspects.Whether it is human contemplation of na-ture or self examination,his poetic values remain timeless.The exploration of Lu You's"Going boating"has shown the feasibility of studying the action images,revealing the deeper and more complex connotations in classical poetry at a micro level.
