On the Syntactic and Semantic Features of the Coincident Semantic Structure"Haoqiao Bu qiao"
There is a semantic contradiction between"haoqiao"and"buqiao"in the literal meaning of"haoqiao buqiao",but in fact,it expresses the meaning of"coincidence"and belongs to the structure of coincidence.The article discusses the properties of this structure from the perspective of syntactic functions and semantic features,and analyzes its grammaticalization process.From a seman-tic perspective,"haoqiao buqiao"includes[+coincidence]and[+counter-expectation]meanings,and counter-expectation meanings of a few use cases disappear,only expressing coincidence meanings,with a tendency towards lexicalization but not thorough.From the perspective of syntactic function,there is a transition from"haoqiao buqiao"to discourse markers,but the degree of grammaticalization is not high,and there are also a large number of use cases where adverbials are used in sentences.The similar structure of"haosi busi"also expresses[+coincidence]and[+counter-expectation]meanings through contradictory semantics,but with low semantic transpar-ency,obvious negative meanings,and more thorough grammaticalization,it is the result of the analogy of"hao qiao bu qiao".
