With the third-year college students being selected as the research object,together with discourse analysis as the re-search tool,this study has investigated the interaction patterns of others'repetition in the corpus of dyadic interactions in English class.Four interacting patterns of others'repetition were found.From the perspectives of sociocognitive and scaffolding theory,it dis-cussed their distribution characteristics,causes,influences on second language acquisition and practical significance.It was shown that others'repetition fostered interaction in conversation,patterns of cooperative and expert/expert were conducive to the formation of the best benefits of scaffolds,and in a good sociocognitive environment the one-way scaffolding mode could develop into the bidirectional one.
