泰国华语教育经历了由兴到衰、再复兴的过程.20 世纪80 年代前,泰国政府将华语视为威胁国家安全和社会稳定的问题;80 年代后,则将其视为可以促进国家发展的资源.一是国家安全危机解除.泰国政府对华人实行同化政策,解除了国家的安全危机.二是国家经济发展需要.80 年代起,泰国政府重视经济发展,华人是两国经济合作的桥梁.三是国家形象建设需要.泰国的国家安全需要和经济发展需求均得到满足后,政府开始通过关注和保护少数族群来塑造自身的国际形象.
Abstract
Thai Chinese language education has gone through a process of prosperity,decline,and revival.Before the 1980s,the Thai government regarded Thai Chinese as a threat to national security and social stability.After the 1980s,Thai government regards Thai Chinese as a resource that could promote national development.Firstly,the national security crisis has been lifted.The Thai gov-ernment implemented an assimilation policy towards Chinese people,which lifted the national security crisis.Secondly,the needs of national economic development.Since the 1980s,the Thai government has attached great importance to economic development,and Thai Chinese people have served as a bridge for economic cooperation between China and Thailand.Thirdly,it is necessary to build a national image.After Thailand's national security and economic development needs were met,the government began to shape its inter-national image by paying attention to and protecting minority groups.
