Interpretation the Punctuatim of the Communist Manifesto Based on a Stylistic Perspective
Punctuation marks as a means of conveying intention in stylistics can express the author's voice and attitude.The Com-munist Manifesto,as the"birth certificate of communism",is one of the most widely circulated and influential works of Marx and En-gels.In this text,which is full of philosophical thoughts and scientific arguments,Marx comprehensively uses different punctuation marks to convey the text content,emotion,tone and attitude tendency,so the meticulous rational and rich perceptual thinking are integrated.Based on the classification of punctuation marks,sentence summary,statistical analysis,close reading and interpretation of the text,the results show that the Communist Manifesto has three kinds of directions in the emotional transmission,expression of motives and guid-ance of objects,including critical irony,encouragement with inspiration and thinking guidance.
