Fortress:Constructing an Audiovisual Landscape Where the Logic of Facts Meets the Poetry of Faith
To commemorate the 130th anniversary of the birth of Chairman Mao Zedong,the patriotic film Fortress was premiered on December 16,2023 in Shaoshan,Mao's hometown.Fortress adheres to the image of the protagonists based on"revolutionary charac-ters",follows the logic of factual narrative based on"revolutionary-war historical facts",practices poetic thematic expression with"red faith"or patriotism as the background,and integrates the unique narrative and innovative means of expression in the construction of au-dio-visual landscape,successfully realizing the construction of audio-visual landscape with the intermingling of factual logic and poetic faith.It is a good exploration which not only provides new channels and thoughts for CPC members to recall the original aspiration and the founding mission of CPC in the new era,but also launches a useful exploration on how to do a good job of passing on the red genes and sustaining our revolutionary legacy in the new mainstream movies.
