University Association for Science and Technology is not only a mass organization of science and technology under the leadership of university Party committee,but also one of the grass-roots organizations of China Association for Science and Technology.The basic orientation of the organization determines its unique dual attributes,which includes that the science and technology associa-tion of colleges and universities has similar commonalities with the general grass-roots group organizations in the political category.At the level of science and technology,the association of science and technology in colleges and universities,because of the characteristics of scientific and technological academic groups,constitutes a distinctive personality to play a special value.The development of univer-sity Science and technology Association in the new era has ushered in new external opportunities,but there are still hidden internal dif-ficulties.To this end,this paper analyzes the organization positioning of university science and technology association,fully grasp the scientific connotation of university science and technology association's political attribute and the unique characterization of science and technology attribute,and puts forward some suggestions on the basic principles and directions of the future construction of university science and technology Association,so as to promote the high-quality development of the organization
