"N+上"的多义性与汉英空间结构编码差异研究

"N+上"结构表示静态空间语义范畴,能够表达在物体表面、上方及内里的语义内容,呈现出点、线、面、体的空间范围特征.通过对比,汉语"N+上"结构与其英语相应表述在语义内涵上存在共性,但是在语义形式编码上存在明显差异,汉语用符少,英语用符多.差异产生的内在理据是两种语言在参照物和目的物的认知次序、参照物的维度等方面不同的认知取向.
Study on the Ambiguity of "N+shang" and the Coding Difference of Spatial Structure between Chinese and English
"N+shang"expresses the semantic domain of static space.It can express such semantic content as on the surface of an object,over the object and in the object,and present point,line,plane and three-dimension spatial scale.By contrast,Chinese structure"N+shang"and English equivalent have similarities in semantics but differences in semantic form coding.Chinese uses more language symbols than English.The inherent reason of differences is significant cognitive orientation of the two languages on the aspects of cogni-tive order of reference substance and target object,dimensionof reference substance.
