Du Fu is a master of narrative poetry in ancient China, and the"Three Officials"and"Three Farewells",the high-est achievements of his narrative poetry, are rich in sound resources. The poet uses the narrative methods of"shifting perspectives,""interweaving the visible and the invisible,"and"the fusion of phantom, spiritual, and episodic hearing"to record the voice of the po-et,the voice of the characters, and the voice of space, thus Four soundscapes are constructed.Through listening to these four sounds-capes,we can find that the narrative voices in"Three Officials"and"Three Farewells"play an important role in indicating emotion-al positions, reproducing social realities, and highlighting characters'personalities, providing the poems with richer textual connotations and more subtle imagination from the dimension of sound. It provides the poem with a richer textual content and a more subtle imagina-tion.
