First,the article expounds the social background and cultural environment of Qing Dynasty,and reveals the dynamic process of martial artsinheritance and innovation in this period.Then,it discusses the promoting effect of peasant uprising and folk se-cret association on the development of martial arts,and emphasizes the influence of press and publication in promoting the wide spread of martial arts knowledge,and the effect of the professionalization of bodyguard and the commercialization of martial arts on the develop-ment of martial arts.The third,it studies the value of martial arts in practical,educational and medical aspects in Qing Dynasty,and how these values meet the needs of the society at that time.Finally,it discusses in detail how the social change of Qing Dynasty led to the transformation and reconstruction of the value function of martial arts,especially in the ideological and technical aspects of adapta-tion and renewal.
