Positive and negative questions are an important type of questions,which form a subsystem of sentence category with its own unique discourse expression and rich discourse meaning.Based on the development characteristics of positive and negative ques-tions in Song and Yuan dynasties,this paper discusses the historical evolution of positive and negative questions,and expounds the basic characteristics of positive and negative questions in Tang and five dynasties,Song and Yuan Dynasties,Ming and Qing Dynasties.At the same time,through sorting out the characteristics of the above historical stages,it reveals the development and evolution of posi-tive and negative questions.
