Research on discourse-pragmatic markers has increasingly become one of the hot topics in the international academic community,and has achieved considerable results in recent decades.This paper reviews the international research on discourse-prag-matic markers from the aspects of historical development,terminology discussion,research progress,theoretical framework,research methodology and application areas from the year of 2000 to 2023,and also puts forward the prospects of the future research for Chinese scholars.
