The empowerment of artificial intelligence(AI)in university ideological and political education teaching showcases its unique value in promoting innovation in teaching concepts,aiding in the analysis of students'learning conditions and precision teach-ing,advancing the intelligent transformation of teaching methods,optimizing the environment for ideological and political classes,and building an AI-based evaluation system for such classes.In the face of real challenges brought by AI empowerment in university ideo-logical and political classes,including technological supremacy,data omnipotence,information cocoon,competence anxiety and priva-cy invasion.The innovation of AI-empowered ideological and political education teaching must uphold the leading role of ideological and political education teachers and harness digital technology with mainstream values;adhere to humanistic educational philosophy and make rational use of data analysis;insist on optimizing algorithm recommendations to break through information cocoons from multiple channels;enhance the digital literacy of teachers and students to address the phenomenon of competence anxiety;and avoid AI security risks to improve the guarantee system for university ideological and political education.
