Explorationof Long Attributive Sentences Translation in Japanese to Chinese Translation
Due to the differences in language expression between China and Japan, long attributive sentences have always been a difficult problem in translation.Without proper translation methods, the translation will inevitably become long and complicated, and e-ven logical confusion. To solve this problem, this paper collects and analyzes relevant previous studies, and concludes that:in general, when dealing with such long and difficult sentences,it is necessary to firstly find the backbone of the sentence, clarify the logical rela-tionship,and use the translationmethods of division, synthesization, inversion, addition and subtraction,so as to accurately grasp the meaning of the original text and make the expression more in line with the idiomatic expression of the target language. Then, the long at-tributive sentences in the translation process are specifically divided into four categories:long attributive sentences whose central lan-guage belongs to the main part of the sentence,"interlocking"long attributive sentences, long attributive sentences whose central lan-guage is formal language, and long attributive sentences inserted into short sentences. The corresponding translation methods are dis-cussed in detail, hoping to provide some enlightenment for translation learners.
