The Metaphor of Supervision in Ancient China and Its Enlightenment to the Construction of Contemporary Discipline Inspection and Supervision Discourse System
There are many metaphorical expressions in the field of ancient Chinese supervisory system.The metaphor of supervi-sion is an important part of the political culture,especially the supervisory system culture in ancient China.The metaphors of supervi-sion in ancient Chinese politics can be roughly divided into two categories:behavioral metaphors of supervision and metaphors of com-mon objects of supervision.The former focuses on describing the functions,behaviors,and states of supervision,while the latter aims to express the characteristics of supervision in a certain aspect.The metaphors of supervision in ancient China use common things to ex-plain the unfamiliar,and by using specific contexts,they highlight the multi-layered characteristics of supervision from different an-gles.Strengthening the study of ancient Chinese metaphors of supervision is of great historical significance for building a discourse sys-tem of the discipline of supervision and inspection with Chinese characteristics.
