Analysis of influencing factors of acute cerebral infarction complicated with vascular dementia:based on propensity score matching method
Objective To explore the influencing factors of vascular dementia(VD)complicated by acute cerebral infarction based on propensity score matching method. Methods The clinical data of 205 patients with acute cerebral infarction who visited our hospital from January 2021 to January 2023 were retrospectively analyzed, and they were followed up for 3 months. They were divided into VD group(n=44)and non-VD group(n=161)according to whether they were complicated with VD.The general data of the two groups were compared, and the data of the two groups were matched based on the propensity score, and the general data of the matched VD group(n=42)and the non-VD group(n=42)were compared.COX regression analysis was used to analyze related factors affecting VD after acute cerebral infarction. Results The incidence of VD was 21.46%.After matching, the age of the VD group was older than that of the non-VD group, the proportion of hyperlipidemia and the score of white matter lesions were higher than that of the non-VD group(P<0.05),the area of cerebral infarction was larger than that of the non-VD group(P<0.05),and the time from onset of cerebral infarction to admission was longer than that in the non-VD group(P<0.05).Age(HR=1.042,95%CI:1.010~1.075,P=0.003),hyperlipidemia(HR=1.040,95%CI:1.004~1.077,P=0.025),white matter lesion score(HR=1.153,95%CI:1.055~1.259,P<0.001),cerebral infarction area(HR=1.099,95%CI:1.034~1.167,P<0.001),and time from onset to admission(HR=1.067,95%CI:1.008~1.130,P=0.007)were all influencing factors for the occurrence of VD.Conclusions Based on propensity score matching,it was found that elderly age, large cerebral infarction area, high white matter lesion score, hyperlipidemia, and long time from cerebral infarction onset to admission are risk factors for acute cerebral infarction complicated with VD.
