Curriculum Design to Promote the Development of Social-emotional Competence——Based on the Experience of International Curriculum Reform
Social change has triggered a new round of knowledge revolution,and social-emotional ability has become an important dimension of international curriculum reform.In order to promote the development of students'social-emotional competence,some countries have explored the curriculum design from the aspects of curriculum objectives,course content,curriculum implementation and curriculum evaluation,and promoted the development of students'social-emotional competence through the core orientation of social issues and global issues,the generation of knowledge context by the network of actors,the implementation of social practice with"citizen action",and the integration of SEL elements into the curriculum evaluation system.In view of the international curriculum experience,the curriculum design that promotes the development of social-emotional competence can be promoted from these aspects:in terms of course objectives,the introduction of real social problems and the breakthrough of disciplinary knowledge barriers are described;in terms of course content,escaping from the curriculum position of"discipline worship"and integrating curriculum knowledge around"core literacy"are discussed;in terms of curriculum implementation,communicating heterogeneous cognitive fields and uniting social education are highlighted;in terms of curriculum evaluation,introducing social and emotional ability indicators to build a curriculum evaluation system with Chinese characteristics is emphasized.
