Exploring Paths of Reducing Student Academic Burden in East Asian Education Circle—Analysis of Learning Time and Efficiency Based on PISA 2022
Recently,OECD has released the latest results of PISA 2022.Comparing the changes between PISA 2018 and PISA 2022,it was found that 15-year-old students from East Asian countries and economies such as Singapore,Japan,South Korea,Chinese Hong Kong,Chinese Macao,and Chinese Taiwan not only continued to maintain an absolute advantage in reading,mathematics and science,but also showed improvements in learning efficiency and sense of school belonging.Based on the PISA 2022 data,this study analyzed the impact of learning time input and after-school learning support on learning outcomes.It was found that the aforementioned countries and economies of East Asian education circle have made certain achievements in reducing student workload,controlling homework time,and providing after-school learning support,forming distinctive policy intervention paths.This provides a reference and potential risk assessment for China's ongoing implementation of the"Double Reduction"Policy.
