From Core Ideas to Integration:Literature Review of Biology Learning Progression Research in China
The origins and development of"Learning Progressions"are closely related to core concepts.This article reviews 84 empirical studies on learning progressions in the field of biology education in China,published between 2012 and 2023.These studies are analyzed across three dimensions:research methods,progression frameworks,and practical applications.The statistical results indicate that current research in China on biology learning progressions still focuses heavily on core concepts.However,there is a lack of in-depth research on the integration of cross-grade studies and the combination of core concepts with key competencies.
