Education for sustainable development is educational content common to countries around the world.It aims to cultivate learners'knowledge,skills,attitudes,and values related to sustainability,promoting the harmonious development of human,nature,and society.The European Union's education for sustainable development can be regarded as a global model,offering a series of policies and practices with significant reference value for China.Its development has gone through four stages:the nascent phase of environmental education,the growth phase of environmental education,the establishment phase of education for sustainable development,and the refinement phase of education for sustainable development.The value of education is guided by an action-oriented and competency-based approach;The educational content emphasizes integrating students-centered principles with diversity and harmony;The education implementation framework establishes a comprehensive and all-encompassing developmental model;The evaluation system shows a unitary trend of scientific rigor and diversity;The guarantee mechanism balances policy guidance,resource support,and teachers'professional development.By summarizing its experience above,some inspirations for carrying out education for sustainable development in China can be drawn as follows:Implementing policies scientifically to respond to the practical difficulties of China's education for sustainable development;Strengthening the cohesion of each study section and building a staggered and integrated universal education network;Paying attention to innovation to realize the mutual promotion of education,economy and society;Improving the education system to build a stereoscopic and diversified supporting system.
