Assessing Climatic Effects of Urbanization Based on Homogenized Daily Observations
This paper brielfy presents ways of detecting the climatic effects of urbanization based on meteorological observations. Having reviewed various recent studies, we point out the very importance of homogenized climate series for estmating the impact of urbanization. The results of a few recent studies based on homogenized observations are discussed. Suggestions for further studies are proposed.
