Analysis of the Achievements and High-Quality Development of National Marine Meteorological Comprehensive Support Project
The Marine Meteorological Comprehensive Support Project is an important engineering construction project based on the Marine Meteorological Development Plan(2016-2025)and the National Strategy for Maritime Power.With the implementation of the phase-1 project,a technological system for comprehensive marine meteorological operation has been initially established,which covers integrated observation,forecasting and service,information network and comprehensive support.The social,economic,and ecological benefits brought by the project have begun to emerge.Although this project has made phased progress,there are still issues such as limited marine meteorological observation density,insufficient capabilities in key forecasting technologies,and inadequate service capabilities to meet demand.This article summarizes the achievements of the phase-1 Marine Meteorological Comprehensive Support Project,analyzes the bottlenecks in the current marine meteorological operation,and lists the needs and trends of its future development.This holds significant importance in promoting the high-quality development of China's marine meteorological operation,supporting the sustainable economic and social development,and strengthening the front line of marine weather disaster prevention and mitigation.
