Time resolution is an important index of wind profiler.According to the working principle and time resolution calculation method of wind profiler,a new method to improve the time resolution of wind profiler using beam rotation technology is proposed.In this method,the wind profiler observes in the beam prior sequence.When the radar finishes a complete observation,each time it completes the observation of one beam,it replaces the observation data of this beam in the previous observation data,and other beams use the previous data to combine into a new data for subsequent processing.Observation tests were carried out from October 1 to October 31 in 2018 using a certain type of wind profiler,and the data of the two modes were compared with sounding data.The test results show that the time resolution of the wind profile radar can be improved from 6 minutes to 1 minute by using the beam rotation technology,and more obvious change process can be seen on the retrieved wind barbs,and more wind field details can be provided to the users.From the comparison results with sounding data,it can be seen that the atmospheric wind field obtained by using the beam rotation technology is more consistent.
