浅析"be+形容词+从句"结构中的从句类型

摘要
"be+形容词+从句"结构是英语教学活动及语法工具书中的一种基本类型,从语法上考察,此结构中的形容词后接的从句类型尚未被清晰界定,还有可以深入讨论的空间.通过英语语法结构分析,可以将此类从句界定为状语从句.而语法学家对这一问题的处理仍嫌模糊,甚至包含着混乱.模糊和混乱之所以产生,根源于人们未加分辨地套用翻译为汉语后的句子成分去定义英语原文的句子成分.这种混淆隐藏着语言文化和思维方式的重要差异,澄清这一混淆,分辨英语与汉语的重要差异,对深化各自语言的认识和英语教学活动都具有重要启示.
Abstract
The structure of"be+adjective+clause"is introduced in English class and in grammar reference books as a basic type.But the clause type in it hasn't been clearly defined from the grammatical perspective and there is still room for further discussion.It can be defined as the adverbial clause when analyzing its English grammatical structure.However,grammarians'definition of this kind of clause is still vague and confusing.The reasons for confusion are that people use the sentence structure,which has been translated into Chinese indiscriminately,to define the sentence component of the original English,and ignore the differences of languages,cultures and ways of thinking hide behind.It is an important enlightenment for deepening the understanding of the languages and English teaching to clarify this confusion and distinguish the important differences between English and Chinese.
