The Appearance Categories in the Miao Language of"Mengali"
The study of"appearance"has attracted more and more attention in linguistics circles.Mengali,a branch of Miao language,belongs to the first indigenous language in Sichuan,Guizhou and Yunnan,a sub-dialect in the western part of Miao language.According to its grammatical differences and related features,the appearance categories of"Mengali"are mainly divided into nine appearances:initial,progressive,trend,attempted/short-term,repeated,continuous,random,accompanying and attached.The appearance category marking mainly relies on function words,which play an irreplaceable role in the appearance category of Miao language.The degree of grammaticization of"Mengali"shows inconsistent development,some words have a high degree of legalization,and some words have a low degree of legalization.
