The High Acceptance of Zhou Bangyan's Ci-poetries in Ming Dynasty's Poetry Selections and its Reasons
Against the backdrop of Ci-poetry,Zhou Bangyan's Ci,known for his harmonious and gentle tone, were chosen as the writing paradigm, ranking first in the selection of important spectral style words. In the mid Ming Dynasty,Zhou advocated the concept of"gentle and melodious voice is almost completely imitated"in his Ci-poetries.Due to his lyrics being"tender and melodious, with almost all imitations",his selected works were regarded as"authentic"by literary critics, and the number of selections was still among the top. The"Flower and Grass Essence Compilation"collected more than 104 poetries.Yang Shen and others intentionally changed the relatively single selection criteria since the mid Ming Dynasty, choosing both elegance and boldness,in an attempt to drive away the trend of laziness with the spirit of boldness. The number of selected poems by Zhou Bangyan fluctuated, but the overall acceptance was still relatively high. The acceptance of his poetry in the Ming Dynasty was closely related to his artistic characteristics, aesthetic standards for selecting scholars in the Ming Dynasty, and the trend of positive transformation.
