Accelerating the transition to clean energy is a global target for the 21st century, and under the constraint of carbon neutrality, there are both opportunities and challenges for clean energy consumption. This paper focuses on different types of clean energy consumption risks, identifies and discusses their risk avoidance pathways.Through in-depth analyses of extreme climate risks, the imbalance of resource distribution, the characteristics and applications of consumption technologies, policy uncertainties, and the market and investment environment,it is found that the consumption of clean energy faces multi-dimensional and strong crossover risks. In view of this,a targeted and comprehensive strategy is proposed to promote the steady development of clean energy and accelerate its global consumption, including strengthening international cooperation, choosing the evolution path of consumption technology, strengthening cross-regional policies and supervision, and building a flexible and efficient energy market. These strategies are designed to provide a practical path for the wide use and sustainable consumption of clean energy, thus supporting the global carbon neutrality.
