Scientific and technological innovation can generate new models,new industries,and new driving forces,and is the core factor and strong driving force for the development and cultivation of digital new quality productivity.This paper selects panel data from 31 provinces,regions and municipalities(excluding Hong Kong,Macao and Taiwan)in China from 2013 to 2022 to carry out empirical analysis on the effects and mechanisms of digital new quality productivity enabled by scientific and technological innovation.The results show that scientific and technological innovation can significantly promote digital new quality productivity,and the results still hold after a series of robust tests.Mechanism analysis shows that digital inclusive finance plays a significant regulatory role in the process of technological innovation enabling digital new quality productivity improvement.Research on regional heterogeity shows that technological innovation has a stronger promoting effect on digital new quality productivity in the eastern region and provinces with high economic development levels.Rooted on this,it is necessary to improve the scientific and technological innovation system of"resource+cultivation+system"and accelerate the development of the"key engine"of digital new productivity;promote the development of digital inclusive financial infrastructure,and give full play to the"core effectiveness"of original and disruptive scientific and technological innovation;build a new mechanism for coordinated regional development and consolidate the foundation of"radiating and promoting"in regions with advantages in scientific and technological innovation so as to effectively empower the improvement of digital new quality productivity.
