The establishment of pilot free trade zones is a major measure to deepen reform and promote opening-up in the new era.Based on the provincial data, this paper uses the difference-in-differences model to explore the influence of the establishment of Shanghai,Tianjin,Fujian and Guangdong Pilot Free Trade Zones on the agglomeration of regional producer services from four aspects of driving effect, intermediary effect, time effect and spatial effect. The results show that pilot free trade zones can significantly enhance the level of regional producer service agglomeration, and trade facilitation, financial innovation and reform, and investment liberalization will enhance the role of pilot free trade zones in promoting regional producer service agglomeration;the impact of pilot free trade zones on the agglomeration of high, medium and low-end producer services is heterogeneous;the policy effect of pilot free trade zones is enhanced over time;and pilot free trade zones form a siphoning effect on the neighboring regions.Based on this, this paper holds that the construction of pilot free trade zones should be in line with international high-standard economic and trade rules, deepen the innovation and reform in the financial field, and focus on the coordinated development among regions,so as to promote the development of regional producer services.
