Moderating Effect of the Only Child of Li Nationality between Big Five Personality and Adaptability of Li College Students
To explore the influence of Big Five Personality on adaptability of Li nationality college students,and to investigate the moderating effect of the only child between them,460 Li nationality college students were studied with the Big Five Personality questionnaire and college students adaptability scale.The results show:(1)Neuroticism can reversely predict the adaptability of Li nationality college students(β=1.47,t=-6.21,P＜0.001),and the only child plays the moderating effect(β=0.5 2,t=4.16,P＜0.01),that is,compared with the non-only child,the more obvious the neuroticism,the worse the adaptability of the only child;(2)Conscientiousness can positively predict the adaptability of Li nationality college students(β=0.59,t=2.74,P＜0.001),and the only child plays the moderating effect(β=-0.24,t=-2.04,P＜0.05),that is,compared with the non-only child,the more obvious the trait of conscientiousness,the stronger the adaptability of the only child.In order to improve the adaptability of the only child,the parents of Li nationality need to weaken the neurotic character and strengthen the conscientious character.
