Recycling and Utilization of Solid Waste from Tailings of Shilu Iron Mine
Aiming at the ecological issues related to environmental restoration and governance of mines in Hainan, the 172 m dump site of Shilu Iron Mine in Changjiang Li Autonomous County was selected as the research object.Based on the comprehensive analysis of the current status of solid waste and the characteristics of tailings slag in the mine, the fea-sibility of resource utilization for tailings slag was elucidated.Based on crushing and screening, jigging iron removal, and de-hydration of iron-containing powders and mud powders,a technical solution was proposed and applied to the solid waste recycling of the 172 m dump site in Shilu Iron Mine.During the implementation process, ecological environment protection measures were promoted simultaneously, reaching the annual production targets up to 1.439 3 million tons of 5~30 mm stones,0.946 2 million tons of 0~5 mm manufactured sand, and other products.Meanwhile, the intensity of water and soil erosion in the mining area was effectively maintained. The current study contributes to the collaborative advancement of eco-logical restoration, waste resource utilization and industrial convergence, and provides valuable experience for ecological res-toration projects.
