Protective Effect of Collagen from Diodon Hystrix Skin on UVB-induced Acute Skin Photodamage in Mice
To explore the protective effect of Diodon hystrix skin collagen(DHSC)on UVB-induced acute skin photo-damage in mice,Balb/c mice were divided into control group(CTL),model group(MOD),low dose DHSC group(L),me-dium dose DHSC group(M),high dose DHSC group(H),matrix control group(B),and positive control group(Y).Skin acute photodamage model was established by UVB induction method. At the end of the experiment, the effect of DHSC on the back skin of mice was observed and scored by the double blind erythema. The effect of DHSC on skin histopathology was observed by HE staining. The structure of collagen in the tissue was observed by Masson staining. The activity of super-oxide dismutase(SOD)and the content of malondialdehyde(MDA)in the tissue were detected by colorimetry. The results showed that DHSC could effectively alleviate the UVB radiation-induced changes of skin appearance, tissue structure and collagen tissue in mice, and exhibited the protective effect on acute light injury of mice's skin by inhibiting the reduction of antioxidant enzyme activity and reducing the accumulation of lipid peroxide.
