Maritime Trade between Fengtian and Guangdong in Modern Times—Taking the Trade Route of Swire Shipping between Niuzhuang and Shantou as the Example
In modern Feng-Yue trade,the trade of soybean cakes and white sugar between Niuzhuang and Shantou was the most distinctive.The abundant soybean and soybean cake resources in Feng Province as sugarcane fertilizer were transported to Lingnan through Swire shipping,which was known as the northern beans transported to the south.After the freighters arrived at Shantou Port,they transported the abundant white sugar and other production and living goods from Lingnan to Feng Province and other regions in Northeast China with Niuzhuang as the core of trade,which was known as the southern sugar transported to the north.In the trade between the south and the north,economic exchanges between the two provinces of Feng and Yue were enhanced.
