Although the Li ethnic group has a language,they do not have their own written language.Therefore,oral Li folk songs recording the changes of Li cultural traditions and the living conditions,customs and personality of Li people have become an important carrier of Li culture.There is an inseparable relationship between Li women and Li folk songs.The character images of women in Li folk songs are diverse,including images of hard work,infatuated love,lov-ing mothers and etc.Folk songs depict women facing issues such as gender gaze and domestic violence,but facing oppres-sion Li women defend their rights and dignity through struggle and resistance.
