摘要
在整个明治时期,"东方国家"埃及一直出现在日本的政治讨论之中.从19 世纪 70 年代起,为解决领事裁判权,日本人开始关注埃及混合法庭并逐渐深入了解埃及;在英国占领埃及之后,汲取埃及亡国教训,避免成为第二个埃及的需求推动着埃及亡国史在日本的流传.日本在相继赢得甲午战争和日俄战争之后,开始从汲取埃及的惨痛教训演变为关注英国在埃及的殖民统治模式,并从中汲取经验.总的来说,日本对埃及的认知随着自己国际地位的变化而变化,在19世纪末20世纪初世界云谲波诡时,日本在亚洲范围能较为迅速地迈入现代化进程,不无文明交流互鉴之功.这段历史也有助于我们发现全球历史互动中被忽视的非洲角色.
Abstract
Throughout the entire Meiji period,the"oriental country"Egypt remained a topic of political discussion in Japan.Beginning in the 1870s,in order to resolve the issue of consular jurisdiction,the Japanese began to pay attention to the mixed courts in Egypt and gradually gained a deeper understanding of the country.After the British occupied Egypt,the need to avoid becoming a second Egypt fueled the spread of the story of Egypt's downfall in Japan.Following its victories in the First Sino-Japanese War and the Russo-Japanese War,Japan moved from learning the hard lessons of Egypt to focusing on British colonial rule in Egypt and learning from that experience.Overall,Japan's perception of Egypt has changed along with its international stance.In the late 19th and early 20th centuries,during a tumultuous world,Japan was able to rapidly enter the process of modernization within Asia,in part due to cultural exchange and mutual learning.These historical experiences are worthy of careful reflection.This historical period also helps us rec-ognize the overlooked role of Africa in global historical interactions.
