摘要

某批φ120 mm TC11 钛合金棒料超声波检测时发现有缺陷.采用X射线检测、金相检验、微区成分分析和显微硬度检测等分析了缺陷的性质和产生原因.结果表明:缺陷为细长条高密度Mo夹杂物,与基体冶金结合,且有元素扩散.缺陷的产生可能是一次锭装炉过程中,底部与铸锭存放区的钢板接触,导致外来金属附着在其端部,随后在对焊过程中进入铸锭.

Abstract

A batch of TC11 titanium alloy bars 120 mm in diameter was found to have defect when ultrasonic detected.The nature of defect and the reason why it formed were analyzed via X-ray detection,metallographic examination,micro-region composition analysis and micro-hardness testing.The results demonstrated that the defect was slender high-density Mo inclusions,was metallurgically bonded to the substrate,and exhibited diffusion of elements.The formation of defect may be as follows:the primary ingot bottom makes contact with steel plate in the area where the ingot is kept during the furnace charging,thus resulting in foreign metal sticking to its end and then entering into the ingot during butt welding.
