This article reports one case of pulmonary and cerebral paragonimiasis caused by ingestion of the first inter-mediate host,the snail.The clinical symptoms,including cough,chest pain,difficulty breathing,and paroxysmal sei-zures,were present in this patient.Laboratory examination showed an increase in eosinophils.Chest CT exhibited patchy high-density shadows with bilateral pleural effusion and right pneumothorax.Head CT and MRI displayed low-density shadows and"tunnel signs".Paragonimus IgG antibodies were positive,and the condition improved significant-ly after treatment with praziquantel.This case report aims to improve the awareness and understanding of paragonimia-sis among clinical doctors,and provide reference for the prevention and treatment of paragonimiasis.
