Effects of Humic Acid on the Germination Properties of Cucumis Sativus L.Seeds under Cinnamic Acid Stress
Cucumher(Cucumis Sativus L)seeds were used to investigate the effects of humic acid on improving the germination properties of cucumber under cinnamic acid (CA)stress. The results showed CA obviously restrained cucumber seeds germination, and the restraint degree was increased with the concentration of CA(0.10-1.0mmol/L) increasing. Under CA stress, cucumber seed germination energy, seed vigor, amylase, α-amylase, β-amylase, protease activity as well as and the consumption rates of seed was decreased. HA could relieve the inhibition of CA on seed germination. Compared with the same concentration CA treatments, 25mg/L HA increased germination energy, seed vigor, amylase, α-amylase, β-amylase and protease activity as well as the consumption rates of seed.
