Spatial Distribution of Carbon Sink Density of Rubber Plant Based on MODIS
Natural rubber plant,as one of the important economic forests in Hainan Island,is of larger value of carbon sink.It is important to get the carbon sink spatial distribution to evaluate the development of rubber carbon sink function.The traditional statistics data were collected by the administrative boundary as an unit,which can't show the difference of rubber carbon density in same area.Remote sensing and the 2011 Hainan rubber plant statistics data were combined to calculate the spatial distribution of the carbon sink.Mean monthly NPP were calculated by CASA model based on MODIS remote sensing data,and then the spatial carbon density of rubber plant were calculated by the downscaling method.The result showed that the method could be used to calculate the carbon density distribution of rubber plant,and found the high value area of carbon density distribution was located in central Hainan Island,and the average carbon density was between 25~33 t/hm2,while the low value area was located in northern Hainan Island and the average carbon density was less than 20 t/hm2.
