Daily Changes of Atmospheric Particulates in Several Typical Recreation Sites in Fuzhou City
To understand the air quality which is closely related to public health in the progress of urbanization of Fuzhou City, capital of Fujian. The daily variation of atmospheric particulates (TSP,PM10,PM2.5 and PM1.0) concentrations and the correlation with meteorological factors were studied in Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University,Fuzhou Qishan Forest Park and Fuzhou South Riverside Park. The results showed that the air quality of the 3 sites was within level Ⅱ,among which Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University presented best air quality, followed by Fuzhou South Riverside Park,Fuzhou Qishan Forest Park as last. The atmospheric particulate concentrations in Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University and Fuzhou South Riverside Park were higher in morning and evening but lower at noon, the variation patterns showed as "V" or " U",whereas it dropped slightly in the morning, but increased gradually after that, and raised rapidly in the evening in Fuzhou Qishan Forest Park. The mainly factors to affect the changes in 3 sites were that teachers and students' and activities in campus, exhausted gas and swirling dust of motor vehicles, humidity and visitors respectively. The results of correlation between meteorological factors and atmospheric particulate concentrations revealed that there were high concentrations of TSP and PM10 with small wind speed, high relative humidity and dew-point temperature. And there were high concentrations of PM2.5 and PM1.0 with low temperature, wind chill,Thermal index,dew-point temperature and high relative humidity.
