The Quantitative Relationship Between Morphology and Yield at Floral Emergence of Brazilian Banana Under Different Fertilizer
An experiment plan of 3414 was used from 2011 to 2013 and the path coefficient analysis was conducted to attain the quantitative relationship between agronomic characters and yield for Brazil Banana. The result showed that there was significant positive correlation between morphology (such as total leaf area from second to sixth leaf at top, plant height, stem girth and leaf number) and yield. The best is stem girth, then leaf area. The regression analysis of coefficient between agronomic characters and yield was conducted and the regression model is as below:Y=-8032.426+538.515D+0.102A.With the path coefficient analysis, stem girth (D) and top 2-6 leaves total area were the greatest contribution to yield. But when cultivating the relationship between the other traits and yield must be taken into account, when emphasizing on high yield breeding traits these 2 traits will be focused on,thereby reducing the benign character selection breeding process, and improve the breeding efficiency.
