Preliminary Evaluation on Salt Tolerance of Chrysopogon aciculatus
Salt tolerance of 64 Chrysopogon aciculatus was carried out by evaluating based on relative shoot dry weight, relative root dry weight, leaf firing percentage, relative leaf color, and relative turf quality on on 245 mmol/L salt treatment. The results showed that there were significant (p<0.05) or very significant (p<0.01) difference among different accessions.Coefficient of variation of different indicators ranged from 20.64%~43.40%,of which the minimum of relative shoot dry weight (20.64%) and maximum of relative turf quality (43.40%).There were significant correlations (maximal correlation coefficient of 0.912) among different indexes of C.aciculatus accessions.Based on five characteristics,64 accessions were divided into three types, which is salt-sensitive,intermediate and salt tolerance. This results would provide foundation for screening high-quality and salt-tolerant accessions.
