Static Performance Analysis of Aerostatic Bearing with Radial Wedge Groove Structure
To improve the static performance of the aerostatic bearing,a new type of aerostatic bearing with radial wedge groove structure was presented.The wedge groove is radial,with fan-shaped circumferential section,rectangular radial sec-tion and trapezoidal axial section.The CFD models of aerostatic bearing with the radial wedge groove were established.The influence of the radial wedge groove structural parameters on the loading capacity and stiffness of aerostatic bearing was in-vestigated.The results show that the radial wedge groove can improve the loading capacity and stiffness of aerostatic bear-ing,and optimize the pressure distribution of gas film compared with the traditional pressure groove.The loading capacity of the aerostatic bearing increases gradually with the increase of radial angle,inlet height and wedge angle,and the loading capacity of the aerostatic bearing increases first and then decreases with the increase of the groove radius.The stiffness of aerostatic bearing increases gradually with the increase of wedge groove radius,radial angle,inlet height of wedge groove and wedge angle.Experimental results of load capacity agree with the simulation results greatly,which verifies the feasibility and accuracy of the model.
