Influence of Inlet Water Temperature on Lubrication Characteristics of Water Lubricated Bearings
In order to study the influence of inlet water temperature change on the lubrication characteristics of water lu-bricated bearings, the elastohydrodynamic lubrication model of water lubricated bearings was established by using the finite difference method. The difference of lubrication characteristics of water lubricated bearings under different inlet water tem-perature and load conditions was analyzed, and the variation law of friction coefficient was verified by experiments. It is found that the water film pressure of bearing decreases with the increase of inlet water temperature, but the maximum water film pressure increases in the water film pressure peak area, the minimum water film thickness decreases and the eccentric-ity increases, indicating that the inlet water temperature increase has a negative impact on the lubrication performance. At the same load and speed, the bearing friction coefficient decreases with increasing inlet water temperature, and the inlet wa-ter temperature has a greater influence on the friction coefficient at high load.Through experiments,it is found that the higher the inlet water temperature, the greater the influence on the change of friction coefficient, and the lower the load at different inlet temperatures, the greater the influence of load changes on the variation of friction coefficient.
