Performance Analysis and Structure Optimization of Spring Energy Storage Seal for Oil Well Safety Valve
To study a sealing ring suitable for safety valves in ultra-high pressure oil wells,a spring energy storage seal-ing ring structure scheme suitable for reciprocating motion was designed, and the influence of the sealing ring lip structure on sealing performance was analyzed.By constructing a V-shaped equivalent spring and establishing a two-dimensional ax-isymmetric model, the contact stress states of different lip structures were analyzed using ABAQUS finite element simulation software. The sealing performance of single and double lips was evaluated using leakage as an indicator under medium pres-sures of 35 MPa,70 MPa,105 MPa,and relative motion speeds of 4 mm/s to 8 mm/s.On the basis of optimizing the double lip structure, the influence of lip angle and lip spacing on sealing performance was analyzed. The results show that under a medium pressure of 70 MPa,the sealing performance of single/double lip structures exhibits the same trend as the medium pressure changes. As the medium pressure gradually increases, the advantages of double lip structures become apparent.Af-ter optimizing the double lips, the lip angle and lip spacing only affect the local contact pressure distribution at the lip,and the impact on sealing performance is very limited. The relative motion speed has the same effect on the sealing performance of the two structures. The overall sealing performance of the double lip structure is improved by about 25%compared to the single lip structure.
