Research on Wear Behavior and Model of Railway Freight Car Brake Beam Wear Sleeve Material under Different Normal Loads and Sliding Speeds
The wear sleeve of the brake beam of railway freight cars is prone to severe wear during use, which affects braking performance and driving safety. In order to study the wear behavior of the wear sleeve material of brake beam, the friction and wear tests were conducted on the pin-disc friction and wear testing machine under different normal loads and sliding speeds to analyze the tribological behavior of the wear sleeve material. The results show that when the load increases from 100 N to 350 N,the friction coefficient decreases, the wear mass loss and wear length increase, the contour curve be-comes more undulating and the maximum wear depth increases, and the damage increases. When the load is the same and the sliding speed is different, the friction coefficient, wear mass and wear length do not change obviously. The wear model was obtained by fitting and optimizing the test data through MATLAB,and the wear simulation analysis was conducted by using ANSYS.The error between simulation and experimental results is within 6%,verifying the rationality of the obtained wear model. The established wear model provides theoretical and technical support for simulating and predicting the service life of wear sleeves.
