Study on the Relationship Between Friction Characteristics of Textured Surface and 3D Topography Parameters
In order to study the effect of surface texture on the friction characteristics of oil-lubricated interface, the re-lationship between the friction characteristics of textured surfaces and the change trend of three-dimensional morphology parameters was established.Based on Navier-Stokes equation and cavitation model,Fluent was used to simulate smooth sur-face model and three textured surface models with different area occupancy, and the influence of textured surface morpholo-gy on pressure distribution and flow field distribution under different entrainment speeds was studied.According to ISO25178,the 3D topography parameters of textured surfaces were calculated, and the change trend of the 3D topography parameters and friction and lubrication characteristics of different textured surfaces was analyzed. The results show that un-der the high speed condition, the effect of texture on the maximum oil film pressure is obvious. The existence of texture dis-turbs the flow of oil,and with the increase of texture area occupancy, the synergy between unit textures becomes more obvi-ous.In order to display the texture advantage more efficiently, the texture surfaces with 3D topography parameters such as smaller absolute value of absolute skewness Ssk and kurtosis Sku,larger valley void volume Vvv and smaller loading area ratio Smr can be selected to achieve ideal friction characteristics.
