Effects of Annealing Treatment on Mechanical Properties of NiTi Shape Memory Alloy Wire
Two types of shape memory alloy wires that produced by Memory-Metalle Ltd. Germany were investigated. The one is type M that possesses the property of shape memory and the other is type N that owns the property of superelasticity. Through tensile tests, the effects of annealing treatment on mechanical properties were studied. The results show that, different annealing temperature and holding time have different effects on the shape memory capability and superelastieity of the shape memory alloy wires.
