Study on Influence of AgCuInTi Solder on Strength of YG16 Cemented Carbide/Steel Joint
The vacuum brazing tests of YG16 cemented carbide and carbon steel were carried out by using AgCuInTi brazing filler metal.By analyzing the joint shear strength and micromorphology at different brazing temperatures, good brazing temperature was obtained. On this basis, the Cu or In content was increased and the shear strengths of the joints under different brazing material compositon were obtained. At the same time, the element diffusion of the joint interface was analyzed by scanning electron microscope. The results show that the AgCuInTi solder has better brazing effect at 780℃.With the increase of Cu and In elements, the shear strength of the brazed joint increases. In brazing seam,In element tends to dissolve into Ag metal to form Ag-based solid solution, and Cu-based solid solution is also formed, and it produces solid solution strengthening effect. There is a large amount of element diffusion at the brazing/steel interface, which is easier than the diffusion at the brazing/carbide interface.
